Dear Friends,
Many of you have known me for years—the Jones family has farmed and ranched in this area since 1896. I have had the honor of serving as your Representative and Senator for over a decade and currently represent House District 18. When my term in the House concludes, I plan to run for Senate District 9.
This is truly home country for me. Our family ranch spans Teton, Pondera, and Toole Counties. I’m also a partner in Frontline Ag Solutions, our local John Deere dealership; Courtesy Ford; and Pure Bliss Cycles—businesses that proudly serve our region. In the Legislature, I serve on the Education Appropriations Committee and Chair the House Appropriations Committee.
I created this website to give you a clear picture of my track record. For long-time friends, it’s a walk down memory lane, with plenty of “hot topics” from over the years and a record of putting constituents first. For those just getting to know me, it’s an introduction to my approach: I vote 100% of the time to the best of my ability with the interests of my district in mind—an approach that has me aligned with party leadership about 90% of the time. That’s how a representative republic should work. My goal has always been to keep Montana a “solutions state” and to leave D.C.’s gridlock and chaos where it belongs—in D.C.
Take some time to review my work, meet my family, see how others have evaluated my efforts, and learn more about my philosophy. I believe you’ll see why I’m confident I can earn your support.
Thank you,
Llew Jones
Jobs in a stable, growing economic environment form the base of any successful community and state. The best political news an individual can have is a good job.
I am a strong advocate of education and, as such, I support our education system and promote political policies that promote excellence in education.
Montana is number one in coal reserves, in the top two in wind energy, has vast timber (biomass) resources, and has significant oil and gas reserves.
Developing our resources in a “common sense” environmentally responsible way is foundational to successful Republican politics and a stonger Montana
